Park named Shahriyar

During post-war period the area of this park, founded as early as 1923, increased from 12 up to 90 ha. It was connected with creation of big sports center, including republican stadium, built in 1951 in the park. Being the republican and city center of physical training and sports, the concerned park fulfils at the same time functions of Regional Park of culture and recreation. Therefore, the population living in closely-located town districts uses it actively.
